Digital Assets and Sanctions Compliance Conference
The Digital Assets and Sanctions Compliance conference took place on the 22nd June 2023 at the Indaba Hotel, Fourways. Organised by Umbono Conferences and Events, this was a one-day hybrid conference with close to 35 delegates in attendances.
Lebogang Thobakgale the Financial Crime Assurance Manager for Absa group was on hand to open the conference as the moderator.
With close to 22 speakers that touched base on how crypto-asset transaction oversight is evolving, the recent framework on the regulating of crypto assets, sanctions compliance best practices for financial crime and what to expect on the long-term viability.
During the conference, attendees shared opinions and suggestions on the ever-evolving financial landscape where they reached consensus recommendations and discussed related barriers and solutions.
